KIH Playout does not upload your video contents for playlist building, does not sell personal information, and does not use product analytics for targeted advertising. Account, licensing, payment-confirmation, and limited technical information are used to provide and protect the service.
1. Who we are and what this covers
KIH Playout is provided by Kenny Interactive Hosting (referred to as “KIH Playout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to www.kihplayout.com, KIH Playout for Windows, KIH Playout Web, customer accounts, product-key activation, software updates, support, and related services.
Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. Their policies apply when you leave KIH Playout or use their services.
2. Information we collect
Account information
Name, email address, password hash, email-verification status, account status, account creation time, and recent sign-in time.
Licensing information
Product key records, license plan and status, computer-seat limits, activation history, computer name, machine identifier hash, Installation ID, entitlement version, and validation times.
Purchase information
Purchased plan, amount, purchase status, transaction references, Stripe customer or checkout references, and purchase time. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
Product analytics
Installation ID, application version, Windows version, system architecture, update results, playlist-export event counts, status, and event times. The direct-download edition also reports installation, reinstallation, and uninstall events.
Website and security data
Hosting and security systems may process IP address, browser information, request time, requested page, and diagnostic information to operate and protect the website.
Support communications
Information you include when requesting support, reporting a problem, requesting deletion, or communicating about a purchase or license.
Persistent Installation ID
The direct-download Windows application creates an Installation ID used to recognize the same installation across manual updates, uninstall events, and reinstalls. After product-key activation, this ID may be associated with the customer account, license, and activated computer. The application’s product-analytics record does not store filenames, media paths, playlist names, video contents, or IP addresses.
The direct-download version preserves the Installation ID in Windows after the application is uninstalled so that a later reinstall can be recognized. A deliberate identity-deletion request, a Windows reset, registry removal, or drive replacement can remove it.
Microsoft Store edition
If KIH Playout is acquired through Microsoft Store, Microsoft manages Store acquisition, installation, update, and removal activity under Microsoft’s privacy terms. KIH Playout account, product-key, licensing, and in-app analytics records remain governed by this policy.
3. Video files, playlists, and browser projects
Windows application: selected media files and generated playlist files remain on the computer and are not uploaded to KIH Playout for playlist building. The application reads local file metadata, including duration, to build the playlist.
Web application: selected media is processed by the browser on the device. Playlist working data—including playlist names and media path references—is saved in that browser’s local storage for recovery and is not stored in the KIH Playout account database. Exported XML and ZIP files are generated in the browser and downloaded to the device.
4. How we use information
- Provide accounts, email verification, customer dashboards, and KIH Playout Web access.
- Start and enforce the 14-day trial, activate product keys, validate licenses, and manage computer seats.
- Process purchases, confirm payment status, deliver product keys, and maintain transaction records.
- Deliver and verify direct-edition software updates, coordinate Store-managed updates, and diagnose failed update checks.
- Understand installed versions, compatible Windows environments, exports, reinstalls, and uninstall activity.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized activation, and attacks against the website and licensing service.
- Respond to support, privacy, billing, and legal requests.
- Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Depending on the location and context, processing may be necessary to perform a contract, comply with law, protect legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or rely on consent where required.
6. Cookies and local storage
The website uses essential session cookies for sign-in, security, and checkout continuity. KIH Playout Web uses browser local storage to recover playlist work on that device. Stripe may use its own technologies during secure checkout for payment processing and fraud prevention. KIH Playout does not use advertising cookies.
You can remove browser project data through the browser’s site-data controls. Removing cookies or local storage can sign you out or erase locally recovered playlist work.
7. How long information is retained
Account and licensing records are generally kept while the account or license remains active and afterward when reasonably necessary for customer support, fraud prevention, transaction history, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Payment-confirmation and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods.
Installation and product-analytics records are retained while useful for licensing, security, compatibility, support, and product measurement, or until they are removed through an authorized administrative or privacy request. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify an account or installation may be retained longer. Browser playlist data remains on the user’s device until removed by the user or browser.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of information associated with you. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent applies.
- Account and license details can be reviewed from the customer dashboard.
- Browser playlist data can be removed using the browser’s site-data controls.
- Account, analytics, and Installation ID access or deletion requests can be sent to support@kihplayout.com.
- Support can provide instructions for removing the preserved direct-download Installation ID from Windows when an identity-deletion request is made.
We may need to verify the requester’s identity and may retain information when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
9. Security
KIH Playout uses measures intended to protect information, including HTTPS transport, hashed account passwords, protected licensing data, restricted server storage, request validation, and access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account password and product key.
10. Children
KIH Playout is professional media-playlist software and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information so the situation can be reviewed.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when services, data practices, legal requirements, or distribution methods change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, application, or account email when appropriate.
